Time

Some of us – or each of us at some times in our hectic lives – are blessed with the gift of Time, whether it’s a few hours once a week or an hour every day or some other piece of time which has not been eaten up by the necessities of our busy lives. We are called to consider filling those periods of time with some act of service, from caring for the plants in the church to serving a meal to the homeless. Check out our Serve page where we have many examples of how we might consider filling our uncommitted moments with ways to be good stewards of the gift of Time.

Talents

All of us have been blessed with some skill or Talent, but sometimes we think that our “talent” is not good enough.  However, the desire to try to participate in a new activity or service sometimes helps us to grow in our skills.  Many who participate in ministries and charities at Mt. Zion have taken a leap of faith, offering what they have, and discovering that there was more inside of them than they knew.  Some of us have been blessed with special talents – whether it’s the ability to relate to other people, to create beauty through art or music, to think strategically and organize plans and events, to impart your knowledge and teach others, etc.  Remember what Jesus said about not hiding your light under a bushel!  Many Mt. Zion ministries and organizations could benefit greatly by your gifts, and the entire community would be blessed.  All through these Mt. Zion webpages, you can find organizations and groups where you can offer your Talent.

Treasures

In these turbulent economic times, we appreciate most gratefully your gifts of your material Treasure, as we know that there is often a decisive sacrifice involved.  In Matthew 6:21 we are told “For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”

Many of us wonder if our “Widow’s Mite” makes any difference.  Please be assured that every monetary gift to Mt. Zion, no matter the size, is a significant part of the greater whole of our financial stability.  Generosity is not measured by the size of the donation but by the size of the giving heart!

There are many ways to make a contribution to Mt. Zion.
